Corona condition is under control Standard 12 examination will be taken: Rupani

Gandhinagar, Dec 12: CM Vijay Rupani has announced that 12th standard board examination will be held in the state. The examination will be held as soon as Corona's condition is under control. It may be mentioned that the Gujarat government had recently postponed the standard ten examination and announced that all the students would pass. However, today the CM announced that the 12th standard examination will be held and has put an end to the speculation of mass promotion.

Mass promotion has been given to all students from standard 1 to 11 in Gujarat this year. Earlier in the state, the government had announced to conduct 10th standard and 12th standard examinations between May 10 and May 8. However, in the case of Corona, it was decided to cancel the 10th standard examination by the end of March. 12 lakh students were to sit for this examination.

Corona cases are declining in the state at present, but the number of daily cases as well as active cases is still high. In addition, children are also being infected with the corona, forcing schools to close within a few days of opening this year. While experts believe that the current second wave will weaken after June-July, there is a big question as to when the 12th standard board exam will be held.

On the one hand, after the announcement of mass promotion in 10th standard, preparations for admission in 11th standard have started, then the process of admission in colleges cannot start till a decision is taken about 12th standard examinations. Twelfth standard exams are usually completed by the third week of March. However, even if the government delays the examination this year, it is very difficult to say when it will be held, and when the result will come. This has created a dilemma for students who go abroad or study further after the 12th standard.
