Corona killed 1621 education workers during UP's panchayat election duty

Primary Teachers Union sends list to CM: One crore financial assistance, eight demands including giving jobs to their relatives: 1621 teachers, trainers, education friends and employees in 75 districts of the state die due to transition.

In Uttar Pradesh, the number of teachers, education friends, instructors and employees of the Basic Education Department who died from the Kovid-19 transition while on duty in the panchayat elections has reached 16,21. This information has been given in the list given by Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers Union. Earlier, the union had released a list on April 28 stating that 706 teachers and staff had died in the Koro transition.

The union sent the list to the chief minister on May 16 and demanded Rs one crore financial assistance to teachers, education friends, trainers and employees who died during election duty, including giving jobs to their relatives.

According to a list released by the Primary Teachers Union, 1,621 teachers, instructors, education friends and staff in all 75 districts of the region have died due to coronary infection. All these people did their duty in the panchayat elections. The list also includes the names of the teachers who lost their lives, the name of their school, the name of the block and district, the date of death and the mobile number of the relatives of the deceased teacher.
